What's the Difference?
POT STILLS
Traditional & Flavorful
Pot stills are simple, robust, and perfect for producing rich, full-flavored spirits. They’re the foundation of traditional distilling.
- Great for Whiskey, Rum, Brandy & more
- Richer, more complex flavors
- Lower alcohol output (up to ~60% ABV)
- Simple operation and easy to learn
- More copper contact for flavor
REFLUX STILLS
Clean & High Proof
Reflux stills use a tall column to create repeated vaporization and condensation, resulting in cleaner spirits with higher alcohol content.
- Ideal for Vodka, Gin, Neutral Spirits & more
- Higher alcohol output (up to ~95% ABV)
- Cleaner, smoother taste
- More efficient separation
- Great for experienced distillers
